	Abalone - An organic seashell, the outside generally shaded with grey or white, the inside with pink, orange, yellow and white. Used by athletes to help build and protect muscle tissue. The heart can also obtain beneficial results, said to also aid digestion.
	Agate - A member of the chalcedony family. Composed of Quartz crystals laid dawn in colorful ribbons. Used for grounding, balance, building self confidence, and aids digestion.
	Moss Agate - Generally black, blue, or brown. Good stone for people involved with agriculture, and has value to midwives. Beneficial in cleansing and circulatory systems. Can help relieve depression. Helps energetic people channel thier energy in a more practical way. Helps hypoglycemia.as with all agates. Has an affinity for Geminis.
	Amazonite - A pale green form of Microcline. A potash feldspar, instrumental in distilling raw information you use for expression. Sooths the brain and nervous system, and helps you filter information and combine it with natural intuition. Also said to enhance masculine qualities and is good for anyone involved in the arts. Has affinity with Virgo.
	Amber - Fossilized resin of primeval trees, ranges in color from pale yellow to orange, to dark brown. Beneficial when used on any part of the body, it has especially good effects on the brain, lungs, thyroid, neurological tissue. Draws disease out of afflicted areas and neutralizes negative energy. Has an affinity with Leo, Virgo, and Capricorn.
	Amethyst - Violet colored Quartz. Known as a direct link to the mind. Bolsters production of hormones. Strengthens and cleanses organs, circulatory system and blood, the immune system, and metabolism. Helps you feel less scattered by aiding in the transmission of neural signals, which allows you to center excessive highs and lows. Affinity with Pisces.
	Aquamarine - Clear blue-green form of Beryl, sometimes found in a golden yellow color.known for its ability to stabalize and harmonize unsettled surroundings. It filters unnecessary information to the brain, calms the nerves, clarifies perception, and strengthens the bodies cleansing organs such as the liver, spleen, thyroid, kidneys. Also helps the eyes, jaw, neck, stomach, teeth and throat. Affinity with Taurus, Tibra, Scorpio, and is birthstone for March.
	Aventurine - Found in shades of blue, brown, red, and green. Another form of Quartz. Used for near-sightedness, improving wearers perception, and stimulates creativity. Beneficial to the thymus gland, nervous system, and one's general state of mind.

Beryl - Comes in shades of yellow, gold, white, blue, and green. Aquamarine and Emerald are types of Beryl. Its most basic quality is the ability to teach you to stop doing the unnecessary. Aids the possessor in learning how to filter out distractions. Strengthens the circulatory systems, making them resistant to toxins and pollutants. Helpful to the eyes and throat and in easing stress. Also said to reawaken the love of married people.

Bloodstone - A type of opaque Quartz, deep green with specks of red. Purifies toxic blood, detoxifies kidneys, liver and spleen. Said to increase courage and help to sooth the mind. Egyptians used this stone to reverse tumors and growths.can be used by all the signs.

	Calcite - Comes in shades of white, black, green, yellow, blue, brown,or red. Cleanses organs, bones, joints, and sharpens mental clearity. Also boosts memory if carried, and helps draw insight through reading, making the important easier to remember.
	Cat's Eye - Another form of Quartz, light to dark brown with fibrous inclusions that add a luminosity to the stone. Grounds earth energy, adds confidence, shows the most advantageous and positive way to reveal the wearers inner energy and light, also centers energy and focus.
	Chalcedony - Shades of white, black, blue, or brown. Another type of Quartz. Helps to ease self-doubt, bad dreams, and problems related to the eye, gall bladder, bones, spleen, blood, and circulatory organs. Helps with the maternal instinct and aids in lactation.
	Chrysocolla - Shades of blue or green. Aids arthritis and other diseases of the bones, the digestive tract, and is rumored to make ulcers less problimatic. Also relieves hypertension and stress do to guilt. Affinity with Gemini and Virgo.
	Chrysoprase - Another form of Quartz, bright green in color. Helps achieve greater personal insight, calms, lessons the ego, and helps open you to new surroundings and situations. Can help guard against sexually transmitted diseases. Helps gout, mental illness and eye problems. Helps you find a love of truth. Affinity with Aquarius and Pisces.
	Citrine - Pale golden yellow, but can be found in darker shades as well. Its energies being directly related to the sun, are invigorating and positive. Can surround and fill with its brilliant color, energizing every aspect of life. Increases motivation and promotes physical activity, which in turn improves digestion and helps the cleansing of the organs. Also detoxifies the blood. Developes inner calm and security, making you less sensitive. Affinity with Leo and Virgo.

Diamond - Dispels stress. Guards against envy, relieves insecurity, improves clarity, increases self esteem. Affinity with all signs and is April birthstone.

Emerald - Restores emotional balance, aids working closely with others, facilitates expression. Affinity with Cancer, Taurus, and Libra. The darker ones attune with Taurus and Scorpio.

Flourite - Comes in shades of white, brown, blue, yellow, purple, red or colorless. Benefits the teeth and bones, and was used as a cure for cancerous growths in ancient times. Helps make you aware of the higher planes and can help ground over-stimulation on the psychic plane. Affinity with Pisces.

Garnet - Range in color from deep emerald green to yellow, brown, and red. Stimulate creativity, passion, and the circulatory system. When used with the pituitary gland, it can help garner past life information, teach patience and constancy, develop love and passion. Affinity with Aquarius, Leo, Aries, Scorpio, and Capricorn.

	Hematite - Iron oxide, steel grey to iron black in color. Improves self esteem, helps kidneys cleanse blood, aids tissue regeneration and helps with astral travel. Said to help with headaches as well
	Herkimer Diamond - Found only in Herkimer,NY. Another form of Quartz, closely resembling Diamonds. Helps to increase the energy and healing qualities of other stones. Helps you recognize stress before it does any damage. Also if in tune with stone you can use it to search out your past lives as they are very old.

Iolite (Water Sapphire) - see sapphire

Ivory - The bones of elephants, walruses, or whales. Hunting for it has brought species near to distinction, because of this you should only use it if drawn to it. Found usually in white, some pink and yellow can be found. Suited for ailments of the teeth, bones, and joints. Also boosts the body's ability to detoxify. Helps you become more introspective and analytical. Makes you more intune with animals and nature.

	Jade - Ranges in color from white, lavender, red, brown, yellow, orange, blue, and green. Has the ablility to mellow ones existance by riding yourself of negative thoughts and energy. Strengthens the body's filtration and cleansing systems. Assists in removing toxins. It will protect the wearer, keeping the wearer from harm. Known to the chinese as the concentrated essence of love.
	Jasper - A member of the Chalcedony family, found in shades of red, yellow, green, or brown. Used for elixirs as it will not over-stimulate the body in any way. Most effective if used for a long period of time as it works slowly. Unifies all aspects of your life. Helps you endure stress.

Kunzite - A pink stone with high lithium mineral content. Used for psychiatric disorders. Affinity with Taurus and Libra.

	Labradorite - A blue speldfar. Elevates the wearers consciousness and connection with the energies of the earth. Affinity with Aquarius, Pisces, Sagittarius, and Capricorn.
	Lapis Lazuli - Deep blue stone flecked with Pyrite. Beneficial to the respiratory system, throat and lungs, cleansing organs, nervous system, and good for the blood and boosting the immunity system. A powerful thought magnifier, it helps align the elements of the body and mind and opens the third eye. Affinity with Taurus, Aquarius, and Saggitarius.

	Malachite - Colors range from light to dark green. Should be used with care as it magnifies negative qualities ,however it also amplifies positive, so is useful if your mood is in the upswing. Useful for relaxation and nuerological disorders as well as tissue regeneration, fights mental illness, stimulates the optic nerve, helps the pancreas, spleen, parathyroid, and helps dyslexia. Affinity with Scorpio.
	Moonstone - Translucent, milky gemstones in pale blue or green. Helps sooth over reactions to emotional situations, and makes us conscious of the fact we are all part of the cycle of constant change. Opens up sensitivity, intuition, and clairvoyance. Affinity with Libra, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.
	Mother of Pearl - Calcified sea fish, pale white or cream colored, sometimes black. In tune with the moon and made in the sea they are a natural purifier. In tune with pregnant women, absorbing in nature so should be worn with caution, as it holds negativity until next worn.

Nephrite - Common Jade.

	Obsidian - Black volcanic glass, believed to sharpen inner and outer vision. A very protective stone it keeps at bay negativity, strengthens prophesy, sometimes used for divination as mirrors in ancient Mexico. Affinity with Scorpio

	Onyx - Varies in color from black or white to translucent, with layers of red, pink, brown, and yellow. Said to have a picture within that tells a story. Used in psychometry as it tells the stary of the wearer, brings balance to the body and mind as well as strengthens the mind. May provoke discord and seperate lovers.
