A few years ago, I
became fascinated by how many actors seem to have a 1st House Sun
placement in their astrology charts. After thinking about it, I
realized how logical such a placement is for actors. The Sun is
vitality, the life force and energy of the ego. The 1st House signifies
the outer appearance, the outer represented ego, and the front that one
puts forth to the world. Combine the Sun with the 1st House of a
chart and bada bing, you’re looking at an actor on the red carpet,
baby. Or at least, a person who is very self absorbed. (If
you have a 1st House Sun and I just offended you, I ask your
forgiveness!)
Think, if you will for a
moment, of the average red-carpet walker. He or she probably
spent more on Botox this year than you and I spent on retirement
savings. Self-absorbed? Vain? Why YES - yes it
IS! These guys have a 1st House SUN, people! How they
appear to everyone else is of the utmost importance to them.
Their very life force (Sun) occupies the House of the Self (vanity /
outward appearance / ego). Don’t hate them because they are
beautiful. Hate them because they have such astrology charts as
burdens! I’m just joking, don’t hate them at all, understand
them. I’ll help you.
Like the air they
breathe or the beating of their heart, a 1st House Sun will NEED Botox.
It’s not a want. It’s a need; a need to put their best face
forward. They can and they will spend the equivalent of nine of
your house payments on one dress to wear on the red carpet.
Why? The Sun made them do it. Did anything outshine the Sun
today that YOU saw? Me either. It was the brightest orb in
the sky. So, too, does an actor with a 1st House Sun need to be
the shiniest, most beautiful, most unique, most worshipped, most
reveled and most adored creature walking. It’s logical.
It’s the mere astrology of their birth.
If stars in Hollywood
sometimes strike you as self-absorbed, it’s only natural. Say it
with me: 1st House Sun. Are you still unconvinced?
Does the Sun revolve around Earth? Uh, no. The earth
revolves around the sun. Hollywood stars with this placement feel as
though the very axis spin of the Earth is completely designed to spin
around and for them. Trust me; it’s okay. They were born with the
lineup to earn this attitude.
You know that star
quality we look for in rising actors? That certain
something we can’t put our finger on? Well I can put my finger on
it – we’re looking for the astrology we feel is there. If the
person is going to light up the screen, his chart better light us up as
well. The Sun in the 1st House. It’s star quality in the
most literal sense.
Think I’m full of
crap? Here is my current list of 1st House Sun actors. It’s not
complete - being Aries, I got bored with my research and stopped here.

And there are more which
I might add when I get the urge to waste more time on the internet.
Before anyone says that
not ALL actors have a 1st House Sun, let me be the first to say that,
yes, I’m aware of that. But if a well known actor does not have
the most common marker mentioned above, then they will, inevitably,
have an aspect that shows an innate gift for playing pretend.
In my short burst of research, I’ve discovered that actors who don’t possess the glitter of a 1st House Sun have something more powerful: a 12th House Pluto . Pluto is a powerful player anywhere it is, but place it in the 12th house of deception and dreams - the house of the subconscious and the hidden - and these people are able to pull from the depths of their psyche a major ability to make us believe they are Henry the VIII, if they happen to be playing him on a Broadway stage. Some actors with Pluto
in the 12th: Al Pacino, Marilyn Monroe, Joaquin Phoenix (he had
the 1st House Sun as well, lucky him), Ann Heche, Robert DeNiro, Will
Smith, and more.
Pluto in the 12th allows the actor to channel his subconscious with convincing skill, so that we, the audience, don’t doubt for a moment that this person has become who they're portraying. Yes, Henry the VIII, we see you. aIn
addition to those two powerful placements, I’ve stumbled upon
one more. Well, two actually, and sometimes they're
together. A more
obscure way to look at a birth chart and predict acting ability, is if
Pluto or Jupiter (or both) are near the Sun. Or better yet, joined with
the Sun (conjunct).
Pluto is transformation. Pluto near the Sun (identity) acts exactly as a 12th House Pluto; those guys can pull from depths within themselves that most of us couldn’t imagine. They can morph their identity (Sun) with transformation (Pluto) and if Jupiter is near, they can do it with grandeur and abandon. Of course, us laymen have our socks knocked off by the likes of Pluto, Jupiter and the Sun together. So much so, we rush to the mall to buy crappy over-priced perfume with our favorite actor's name on it. Bleck. Why? Pluto and Jupiter dazzled us and the Sun made us blind. (And unable to smell.) The astrology of their charts did it to us. And, by the way, probably made us buy the red-carpet edition of People Magazine. Besides such a dazzling
set, Jupiter near a Sun gives a blinding
fame aspect just for fame’s sake, not necessarily acting
ability.
Robert DeNiro has both Pluto and Jupiter near his Sun. Richard Burton,
Mel Gibson, Billy Bob Thornton also have Pluto near the Sun. Are
these
men especially gifted at acting, or are we just blinded by their
charts? I don’t know. But me, I could stare at Robert DeNiro all
day.
Your chart gave you fame pal, and I like it.
Hugh Jackman has a mimic
of this lineup; he has Jupiter near Pluto. He has powerful,
over-blown charm, does he not? He smiles and I sigh. Pluto with
Jupiter has done it to me again. The same charming aspect
belongs to Tom Hanks, Will Smith (who also had the 1st House Sun,
remember), and Alan Rickman. Their charts declare them famous,
and we believe.
Richard Burton in his day could scare Vodka bottles into the after-life, but wasn’t his Jupiter beautiful so near the Sun as it was? Liz Taylor thought so. So do I. Speaking of Elizabeth, that woman doesn’t have even one of my aspects for acting. She has sheer fame markers. One GLANCE at her chart told the tale. A whole slew of aspects highlighting her Mid-Heaven. (The Mid-Heaven is the “Look at me, look at me, everyone knows me!” part of a chart.) We know you Liz. Your planets on your chart screamed your name and the Universe harkened. I’ve seen Cleopatra 12 times, and I wasn’t even born when it was released. Now that’s FAME. A word to will
Smith: You have talent AND fame. Your 1st House Sun
declared you, but your 12th House Pluto says you could take your act to
Broadway if you felt so inclined. The world IS your oyster, isn’t
it Will? Please don’t make another Men In Black movie, I beg
you. Let Tom Hanks pick your material; you just act it. You
have the chart. You HAVE the CHART, WILL!
Still don’t believe in
this astrology crap?
What does it take to convince you Earth signs anyway? I had the Fire signs at “Hello”! |
